About

About

I’m Kade Chen (陳智賢), finishing an M.S. in Remote Sensing at the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research, National Central University, March 2026. Bachelor’s in Earth Science Education at NCKU.

What I work on

  • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image processing: speckle-noise reduction (Lee, Refined Lee, Frost filters) and how it affects deep-learning object detection. That’s my thesis.
  • Open-source PyTorch geospatial tooling: currently shepherding torchgeo PR #3655 (Lee filter as a Kornia transform).
  • Local-LLM application architecture: RAG pipelines (stock-rag), gesture-controlled interfaces (ninjapause), small-team productivity bots (refrigerater).

Stack

Python, PyTorch, Kornia, OpenCV, MediaPipe, rasterio (learning), STAC/COG (learning), Ollama / Qwen2.5 / Gemini, Flask, Streamlit, Docker.

Looking for

Fully-remote ML / Computer Vision / Earth Observation engineering roles. I’m based in Taiwan; companies in the US, UK, or Singapore that hire globally are who I’m trying to reach.

Find me

If you’re working on SAR processing, geospatial PyTorch tooling, or remote-first engineering culture and want to chat, say hi.
